ThePapers.ng can exclusively report that the Super Eagles striker and reigning Africa footballer of the year, Victor Osimhen is already packing his luggage for a life in Stamford Bridge as both clubs and the player’s representative in advance talks.

Osimhen’s club future has been a saga that has been drawn out across the summer. Having asked to leave Naples, Paris Saint-Germain led the race to sign the Nigeria international only to end talks last month, unwilling to meet Napoli’s asking price.

Napoli began the summer demanding any interested clubs must pay Osimhen’s €130million (£110m) release clause. That stance has softened with the Serie A giants now hoping to collect €110m (£85m) for their prized asset.

ThePAPERS reports have recently claimed that Osimhen sees Chelsea as his best possible option to leave Napoli in the coming weeks, so this is perhaps one to watch before deadline day on August 30.

In an exclusive phone chat with ThePAPERS Editor, Napoli prolific striker enthused “ Bro wait make the soup done. “Everything dey cook well. I will call you tomorrow, Osimhen said.”

A few weeks ago, ThePAPERS exclusively reported that the Nigerian striker is moving to Chelsea despite many challenges towards the move.

“Victor is going to Chelsea,” Osimhen’s source had revealed in July.

“He’s not going to Saudi even though the Saudi deal is too big to reject but he has made up his mind to keep shining in Europe and with a competitive club but not PSG.”

The Nigerian striker has been one of Serie A’s most prolific goalscorers and star players for a few years now, and his 31-goal haul across all competitions in 22/23 helped Napoli to their first Scudetto in decades.
