Chelsea star, Cole Palmer, has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award following his impressive display at the Blues last season.

The prize is voted for by the players who competed in the Premier League last season.

Palmer unsurprisingly made the six-man shortlist.

The 22-year-old scored a remarkable 22 league goals and provided 11 assists.

The England international registered more goal involvements last season than any other player in the Premier League.

Palmer is up against Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Brighton’s Joao Pedro, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Michael Olise, who recently left Crystal Palace for Bayern Munich.

The winner will be announced on 20 August at this year’s PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester
