Group lauds Abiodun on good governance

…Members pledge loyalty to gov

A group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, DA Legacy Group, has commended Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on what they called his many giant strides since taking the mantle of leadership in the state.

Speaking during a meeting held in Iperu, leaders of the group appreciated the governor for sustaining infrastructural development despite the economic downturn across the country.

Convener of the group, Honourable Biyi Adeleye, while explaining the purpose of the gathering, explained that as stakeholders in the politics of the state, members of DA Legacy Group regularly meet to appraise the state of governance with a view to ensuring that the people of the state get the very best.

“It is after such appraisal that we are now saying our dear governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun deserves a pat on the back. We have to appreciate him so that we can urge him to do even more. Since taking over the governance of the state, he has brought unprecedented maturity, experience and immense know-how to bear on how thwle state is being administered.

“We are also thanking him for sustaining infrastructural development despite the economic downturn across the country. His leadership has also ensured peace and unity within our party and as stakeholders, we cannot but encourage him to keep up the good work. That is why we are here to tell him that DA Legacy Group members are unshaken and resolute in our support and loyalty for Prince Dapo Abiodun,” Adeleye said.

Other leaders of the group, while buttressing the convener’s position lauded Abiodun for ensuring the success of many wonderful projects especially the Agro Cargo International Airport in Remoland. According to them, the airport is a legacy project that prosperity will never forget Dapo Abiodun for.

Numerous elected and appointed public office holders as well as notable APC chieftains who were in attendance at the meeting took turn to identify and appreciate the many policies, programmes and projects of the Abiodun administration. They also urged the governor not to relent in his efforts to make Ogun State a destination of choice for all and sundry.

Speaking, Honourable Koye Ijaduoye explained that the purpose of the group is to stand solidly behind the current administration and garner support for its activities. “The governor is doing so well. He has so much plan for our dear state. So he needs our encouragement and support. That is what we are for,” he said.

Many political appointees, especially from Ogun East senatorial district, were in attendance at the meeting held on Thursday. The member representing Ikenne LGA in the state assembly, and his Sagamu 2 counterpart, were also present. Chairman of Remo North Local Government Area, Dapo Odunsi and his counterparts from Sagamu and Ikenne LGAs, also attended the meeting.

Party leaders from across the senatorial district all pledged their unalloyed support to the governor and his administration, promising to work in unity with other groups and stakeholders towards ensuring that Governor Dapo Abiodun achieves his desired legacies as governor of the state.
