Ahead of the proposed nationwide protest, the Federal Capital Territory police command has deployed a total of 4,200 policemen across

Armed robbers invaded two banks in the Anyigba community of Kogi State, leaving two policemen dead.

The robbers were said to have stormed First Bank and Access banks, on Thursday evening, where they carted away yet-to-be-ascertained sums of money.

The heavily armed robbers stormed the two banks simultaneously and began sporadic shooting in broad daylight.

As of the time of filling out this report, the number of casualties had yet to be confirmed.

All efforts to get confirmation from Kogi State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP William Aya proved abortive, as he was not picking up calls put to his phone.
