AFCON: Super Eagles key players ready to SHAME Brown Ideye’s criticism

At least six players from AFCON 2023 Super Eagles squad have reserved Tiktok video for the ranting former Super Eagles player, Brown Ideye that came out openly to criticized the players after their 1-1 draw against Guinea at the opening match.

Ideye said the current Super Eagles team led by Victor Osimhen are not ready for the AFCON that Nigeria will not win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations because they lack cohesion and are unstable.

“We have good players in camp, but we don’t have a team. We are still building a team because we don’t have a team that can the win the AFCON,” Ideye said on a Twitter space.

“I don’t see this present Eagles winning this AFCON, It’s not possible. We are not ready, we don’t have what it takes.”

Ideye, who played for West Brom, Dynamo Kyiv, Olympiacos, and other European clubs was part of Super Eagles team that won AFCON in 2013.

However, after their first game against Guinea, the Super Eagles team became a reckoning force at the ongoing AFCON with this victory against South Africa that qualified the team to the AFCON final.

Kelechi Iheanacho scored the winning penalty as Nigeria booked their place in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a 4-2 shootout win over South Africa.
