Another Rivers crisis looms as Assembly threatens Fubara again

During its sitting yesterday, the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Mr. Martin Amaehwule, expressed frustration with the conduct of staff members at the Brick House, the Government House in the state.
Amaehwule stated that the Clerk of the Government House has not been receiving letters or correspondence from the legislative arm of the state.
He further stated that the House would no longer accept correspondence from the executive arm if this trend continues.
The issue arose after the government staff refused to receive any document from the Assembly, following a correspondence on the commissioner-nominees.
Despite this, the House went ahead and screened the nine nominees, who had all served as commissioners in the state, and only asked them to take a bow and leave.
Attempts to obtain a reaction from the state government proved futile, as calls made to the Commissioner for Information went unanswered.
