Tinubu is using propaganda as a means of deceiving Nigerians, Atiku warns

Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communications to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has said that Nigerians should be wary of how President Bola Tinubu’s administration is using propaganda as a means of deceiving citizens.
Shaibu in a statement in Abuja, on Sunday, said Nigerians shouldn’t be deceived by the apology issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, and others because “they are only sorry they got caught.”
According to him, the President’s handlers have been caught in at least 10 embarrassing lies that are part of the orchestrated propaganda siege on Nigerians over 117 days.
He further said, “The fact that Tinubu has more media aides than economic and security advisers is enough to prove that his administration would rely on propaganda as a state policy.
“My advice to the Nigerian media is to always fact-check any claim made by this government as this would help maintain their credibility. If the Tinubu government says it is morning, go outside to verify if the sun is shining.”
Shaibu further said, “These are the 10 lies of the Tinubu regime I have compiled so far:
“1. The first lie that was told by Bola Tinubu was in his inaugural speech, where he stated that the petrol subsidy was gone. With oil prices now at $94 per barrel and the naira exchanging at N1,000/$1, the price of diesel has risen to about N1,000 per liter while petrol remains at about N620 per liter. It is obvious to the discerning mind that petrol is now being subsidized, a position which all oil marketers have espoused. Nigerians should not be deceived. Tinubu’s claim that there is no subsidy is a lie from the pit of hell, and the fact that they are even hiding the information means there is no transparency, and the money is probably being stolen again.
“2. The second lie told by these charlatans was that the United Arab Emirates had lifted the visa ban on Nigerians immediately and that all Nigerians were free to visit Dubai. This lie was well celebrated by many undiscerning Nigerians whose only crime was to believe the deceptive words of an illegitimate government. UAE authorities later confirmed to CNN that it was all a lie. What a national embarrassment!
“3. A third lie told by this deceptive government is that Tinubu was the first African President to ring the NASDAQ bell. It has since been established that Malawian President, Jakaya Kikwete, rang the bell on September 21, 2011.
“4. Another lie was a statement issued by Ajuri Ngelale on August 27, 2023, where US Presidential Envoy and Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Molly Phee, was quoted as saying, “President Joe Biden is asking to meet with you on the sidelines of UNGA and you are the only African leader he has requested to meet. It is a mark of his high regard for your leadership.” Well, this has turned out to be another embarrassing lie as Tinubu has departed UNGA and never met President Biden.
“5. A fifth lie was a claim made by Tinubu on the floor of NASDAQ where he stated “We have retooled the exchange rate to a reliable, dependable one figure floating of the naira. You are free to take in your money and bring out your money.” But this is another lie from the pit of hell. The exchange rate on the I&E Window is about N780/$1, while the rate at the parallel market is about N1,000/$1. Besides, foreign airlines still have over $600m in funds stuck in Nigeria. Tinubu, therefore, lied when he said “You are free to take in your money and bring out your money.”
“6. On August 14, 2023, the Nigerian government said on its official Twitter handle that the Nigerian Air Force struck terrorists gathering at Kurebe in Shiroro LGA in Niger State. The government claimed that the terrorists were neutralized. Well, Premium Times has now revealed in its latest report that this is nothing but propaganda as those who were killed were innocent civilians. Is it not tragic that the Bola Tinubu administration has now infected the military with its lies? Indeed, once the head of the fish is rotten, the body cannot escape corruption.
“7. As part of Bola Tinubu’s propaganda program, the Central Bank of Nigeria said on September 6, 2023, that within two weeks, it would inject $10 billion into the foreign exchange market to clear the FX backlog. Days after the deadline passed, not a single cent has been injected into the system as the naira continues its free fall. The institution that Tinubu’s leadership cannot destroy does not exist.
“8. In his inaugural speech, Tinubu said, “As your President, I shall serve with prejudice towards none.” But this has turned out to be another bare-faced lie. Tinubu has been running a government of the clannish, by the clannish and for the clannish, with all key appointments in every sector going to a section of the country including CBN, FIRS, customs, army, police, and immigration while he is the petroleum and gas minister. Tinubu appointed 10 ministers from the southwest and only five from the southeast. If this isn’t prejudice, I don’t know what it is.
“9. Last month, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited claimed they had obtained an Afrexim loan of $3bn which would help stabilize the naira. We raised the alarm that it was all a ruse to deceive Nigerians. Now, we have been justified as the naira is now trading at $1/N1,000 on the black market, while Afrexim Bank has refused to speak on it. This was just audio money.
“10. Perhaps the biggest scam and deceit of the Tinubu administration was the Student Loan Act, which he signed on June 12. The new law provides loans for students’ tuition only. It doesn’t cover any other educational expenses. After the law was signed, all federal government schools began increasing school fees. But Dele Alake, the Special Adviser on Media as he then was, said in a statement that tuition in all government schools remains free and that the only fees that were increased were accommodation, laboratory, library, and other costs. So if tuition is free and the Student Loan Act covers only tuition fees, that means the Student Loan Act is pointless, and no money will be released. In essence, Tinubu’s government has prodded government schools to increase fees while no loans will be given to the students. This is the height of deception and wickedness.”

‘Fight With Wike Not Over’ Primate Ayodele Sends Strong Warning To Fubara; Reveals Solution For His Second Term

The atmosphere in River State has significantly stabilized after President Bola Tinubu lifted the six-month state of emergency that had been in effect.
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has revealed what the governor of Rivers state, Sim Fubara should do to have a second term in office.
This is coming after speculations going around suggest the governor may not be allowed to go for a second term in office due to the crisis he had with his predecessor.…click link for full details here
Some also claim part of the agreement for him to return to power was to forget about a second term in office.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele revealed that Fubara can still have a second term in office if he seeks the face of God and stays loyal to Wike.
He also noted that part of his loyalty to Wike would include technically ceding the position of the deputy governor to the assembly speaker, as his chosen deputy would be a figurehead.
“Fubara can still get a second term if he seeks the face of God and is obedient to his principal, Nyesom Wike. He should also note that his acting deputy governor would be the speaker of the state, his chosen deputy would be more of a figurehead.”
He also noted that the state won’t be totally peaceful and that some of Fubara’s allies will cause a crisis because they will be angry with him. He mentioned that the fight between Wike and Fubara isn’t over, as the latter would be used to check the FCT minister.
“Rivers state won’t be fully peaceful because of the indecision of Fubara; he won’t be taken seriously anymore, and some of his allies will be angry with him. Fubara and Wike will still fight; it’s not yet over, and the governor will be used to check Wike politically.”
Furthermore, he commended the president for saving the state from calamity.
“Tinubu saved River State from calamity and bloodbath because without it, the state would have been forgotten. Several things would have happened in the state, but the state of emergency cautioned everyone.”

BREAKING: Fubara’s Resumption Date Emerges As Rivers Assembly Sends Fresh Message To Governor

In light of recent political tensions in Rivers State, which have generated significant concern among residents, the lifting of a six-month emergency rule in the region has not resulted in the resumption of activities by the suspended governor.
Complicating matters further is the unexplained absence of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, prompting speculation regarding his whereabouts. However, contrary to public perception, the date for the governor’s return has now been disclosed. Click to continue reading.
The recent political developments have generated considerable anticipation among the public, particularly in Port Harcourt, where thousands of dedicated supporters congregated outside the Government House by 6 a.m. on Thursday. These individuals gathered in hopes of witnessing the governor’s return, celebrating his reinstatement following the conclusion of the emergency rule imposed by President Bola Tinubu. However, as the hours progressed without any sign of the governor, the crowd’s initial enthusiasm began to diminish.
By midday, the energy of the assembly had notably waned. Despite the governor’s reinstatement, which was officially declared by the President the previous Wednesday, he had not yet made an appearance. Gradually, many supporters departed, their morale dampened by this continued absence.
Among the steadfast supporters were several sacked local government chairpersons, including Chijoke Ihunwo from Obio/Akpor and Ezebunwo Itche-Mati from Port Harcourt City. Notably absent were allies of former Governor Nyesom Wike, who currently serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, along with the newly elected local government chairpersons perceived to be aligned with him.
The governor’s absence follows a significant announcement by President Tinubu, which lifted the emergency rule in Rivers State that had led to the suspension of Governor Fubara, his deputy Ngozi Nma Odu, and the members of the House of Assembly. During this turbulent period, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.) had been appointed as the sole administrator.
A confidential source within the governor’s camp has indicated that he is expected to resume duties on Monday and is making arrangements to address the state and communicate his vision for improved governance to his supporters.
Simultaneously, the legislative arm of the state resumed its operations on Thursday at the conference hall of the legislative quarters, with Speaker Martins Amaewhule presiding over the proceedings. The lawmakers wasted no time in initiating an inquiry into the state’s financial management during Ibas’s administration and urged Governor Fubara to submit a list of nominees for commissioner positions for legislative scrutiny. The political climate in Rivers State remains tense, with uncertainty continuing to pervade the atmosphere.

His previous tenure, marked by both challenges and achievements, has left an indelible mark on the nation’s history.
With the political landscape continually evolving, discussions abound regarding his potential influence and the role he might play in shaping the future of Nigerian governance.
In the heart of Abuja, discussions have begun to circulate that Jonathan could once again influence the upcoming race for power.
Since his removal from office in 2015, Jonathan has transformed into a ubiquitous figure in Nigerian politics, haunting every electoral cycle like a specter.
His image frequently resurfaces on billboards across the nation, while his name continues to be prominently featured on campaign buses, suggesting that political operatives still see value in his brand.
Despite his attempts to lead a life that appears detached from the partisan fray—engaging in various philanthropic efforts and public speaking—it is clear that he remains an influential presence.
Observers are now questioning whether his historical significance and experience could pose a challenge to the current president, Bola Tinubu, and his administration.
As political dynamics shift and candidates begin to position themselves for the upcoming elections, Jonathan’s influence may prove to be more profound than many anticipate, prompting debates about the potential impact of his candidacy on Nigeria’s democratic processes.

Fresh Tension In Rivers As Fubara Snubs Return To Government House, Full Details Emerge

The situation has been compounded by the mysterious absence of the suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara, leaving many to wonder about his whereabouts. Click to continue reading.
This uncertainty ignited a wave of anticipation early Thursday morning, as thousands of devoted supporters gathered outside the gates of the Government House in Port Harcourt as early as 6 a.m., eagerly awaiting the governor’s return. They hoped to witness his reappearance and celebrate his reinstatement, only to be met with disappointment as the hours passed without any sign of him.
As midday approached, the energy of the crowd began to wane. The governor, despite being reinstated following the official conclusion of the emergency rule by President Bola Tinubu, had not made any appearance. One by one, many supporters reluctantly left the scene, their enthusiasm dampened by his continued absence.
Among the loyal crowd were several sacked local government chairmen who remained steadfast in their support for Fubara, including the likes of Chijoke Ihunwo from Obio/Akpor and Ezebunwo Itche-Mati from Port Harcourt City. In stark contrast, the event was noticeably devoid of allies of the former Governor Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, as well as the newly elected local government chairmen who are perceived to be aligned with him.
The governor’s absence followed a momentous declaration from President Bola Tinubu the previous Wednesday, which formally lifted the emergency rule in Rivers State. This rule had not only suspended Fubara but also his deputy, Ngozi Nma Odu, alongside members of the House of Assembly, with Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.) appointed as the sole administrator during that turbulent period.
Meanwhile, the legislative arm of the state resumed its activities on Thursday at the conference hall of the legislative quarters, with Speaker Martins Amaewhule taking charge of the proceedings.
The lawmakers wasted no time, launching an inquiry into the state’s finances during Ibas’s administration, while also urging Governor Fubara to submit a list of nominees for commissioners for their scrutiny. The atmosphere in Rivers State remains charged, with political uncertainty lingering in the air.
