National Breakdance Championship: FAME Foundation holds Abuja qualifiers

FAME Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in Abuja, is set to organize a national breakdance championship qualifiers in Abuja.
The event aims to empower the youth through sports under the Play it Dream it Initiative, strengthening the inclusion of young people and vulnerable people through sport, will inspire and teach valuable life skills to young people – particularly those that are consistently underserved, excluded, or economically disadvantaged.
The championship will be held at 8am on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Lycée Français Marcel Pagnol d’Abuja, while the French Ambassador to Nigeria and other dignitaries will be in attendance.
The event will select six finalists who will compete at the grand finale in Lagos in November 2023. FAME had recently organized the championship qualifiers in Kaduna, Kano and Portharcourt respectively.
The project is financed by the Solidarity Fund for Innovative Projects (FSPI – R) of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. It aims to support initiatives in the areas of democratic governance, culture, French, higher education, and research.
