Ministerial list: Fashola, Wike in, as Tinubu presents first batch this week

As the ministerial list edged to conclusion, it has been confirmed that former Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola and immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nysom Wike have been confirmed for appointment to the long list.
Although some political allies of Tinubu from Lagos State are kicking on the inclusion of Fashola, two-term minister under former President Buhari, making a case for Ademola Oshodi or Yemi Kadoso who are much interested in working with the president.
The list, according to sources, is full of intrigues and surprises as the President is set to name former Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike as one of the awaiting ministers for his administration.
Wike had visited President Tinubu at the Aso Villa on two occasions, leading to the rumour that the controversial PDP member had finished his plan to work with the APC government at the Federal.
This has led to the belief that Wike had worked secretly for the emergence of Tinubu as President in the last elections where his own PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar came second.
Our sources also confirmed that the President is ready to form a government of unity where few opposition parties could be included in his cabinets.
“Tinubu is not afraid to name Wike in his cabinet, he’s willing to do so, and don’t be surprised if he’s listed with his portfolio of Niger Delta, ” said our source from the presidency.
“The fact remains that the list is full of intrigues and surprises. What the President wants is absolute performance.”
When the list will be released, the source said, the President will pass the list this week.
