NAPIMS boss, Bala Wunti, boasts Tinubu will give him bigger appointment

Yes, Bala Wunti’s self-assurance blossoms and booms, one grisly decibel after the other, until it attains a frantic pitch.
Wunti reportedly brags that President Bola Tinubu would give him a bigger appointment in his administration, despite his lacklustre performance as the Group General Manager of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS).
There is no gainsaying Wunti affects the disposition of an egoist. And if anything, the fantasies of an egoist are often mightier than his will and dismissive of reality, but he commits to their attainment all the same.
Wunti wishes upon his pride, forgetting that arrogance functions on the oxygen of its foolery; eventually, the arrogant crashes and burns at the crossroads where conceit chokes to the stab wounds of its fangs.
Were Wunti cognizant of this bitter truth, would he dare insult Nigerians by declaring his wish to occupy a bigger post in the country’s public service?
Very few people would forget in a hurry, his unimpressive spell as NAPIMS boss. Aside from the allegation of his role in Nigeria’s oil production decline, Wunti allegedly frustrates oil development operations for personal gains.
Despite the overwhelming evidence of his serial wrongdoing, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has curiously turned a blind eye to his malfeasance.
Insiders allege that he has been able to amass stupendous wealth for himself on the strength of his position at NAPIMS.
Before he was promoted to GGM, Wunti was the Chief Upstream Investment Officer of the NNPC Upstream Management Services, a position he reportedly got through the influence of Malam Abba Kyari, the late Chief of Staff to President Buhari. Wunti reportedly hails from the same Bauchi State as Mrs Kyari.
There is no gainsaying the NAPIMS job has furnished Wunti with access to unimaginable wealth between 2020 and the present. So wealthy is he that he has developed a taste for luxurious properties thus his staggering real estate in Abuja.
A staunch loyalist and friend of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Wunti stunned pundits recently after he reportedly bragged that President Tinubu would bless him with a more lucrative position.
