FULL LIST: Nigeria, Iran, 37 Other Countries Blacklisted By Trump From Applying For US Citizenship

The Trump administration has instructed the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to halt the processing of green card and citizenship applications from Nigerians and nationals of additional countries that have recently been included in the expanded US travel ban.
A government official shared this information in a CBS News report, indicating that the decision is motivated by national security concerns and an ongoing assessment of immigration vetting processes.
This development follows a proclamation signed by President Donald Trump that imposes further restrictions on entry into the United States for individuals from countries classified as high-risk.
The proclamation cited ādemonstrated, persistent, and severe deficiencies in screening, vetting, and informationāsharingā that it says pose a threat to US national security and public safety.
Among the 15 additional countries newly subjected to partial restrictions under the expanded travel ban is Nigeria.
Trump had previously, on October 31, labelled Nigeria a ācountry of particular concernā following allegations of Christian genocide in the country.
